High risk children can be closely monitored and put on low dose atropine (0.025% to 0.05%), combine therapy with and orthokeratology or multifocal soft contact lenses or 360 degrees progressive addition lenses. Additionally red tinted glass or contact lenses with active red light therapy and lifestyle change with more outdoor activities, less near work and healthy eating habits.
