CMJ - Myopia Morbidity Risk Point System

Low risk children can be closely monitored and put on bifocal, PAL or double D or 360 degrees Dual Focus addition lenses spectacles with red tinted glasses to begin with along with lifestyle change with more outdoor activities, less near work and healthy eating habits.  

Medium risk children’s can be closely monitored and put on Low dose atropine (0.01% - 0.025%), bifocal, PAL or double D or 360 degrees dual focus addition lenses, spectacles with red tinted glasses, red light therapy or multifocal soft contact lenses or orthokeratology lenses along with lifestyle change with more outdoor activities, decreased near work or use of Red filter glasses for near activity and healthy eating habits.  

High risk children can be closely monitored and put on low dose atropine (0.025% to 0.05%), combine therapy with and orthokeratology or multifocal soft contact lenses or 360 degrees progressive addition lenses. Additionally red tinted glass or contact lenses with active red light therapy and lifestyle change with more outdoor activities, less near work and healthy eating habits.
